One Trade, One City, And The Kitchens That Come With It
Kitchens, islands, vanities, laundry rooms and wall units across Brampton, Bramalea, Heart Lake, Springdale, Castlemore, Snelgrove, Huttonville, Bolton, Caledon East and Georgetown are sprayed, refinished or refaced by Brampton Cabinet Painting. The company is fully insured. Cabinet painting is the only trade we work in, which is why we can talk about a specific oak kitchen in Heart Lake or a thermofoil galley downtown rather than about paint in general.
Houses here set the cabinet painting agenda. A 1960s birch kitchen in one of the older Bramalea sections, 1980s golden oak in Huttonville, a 2008 thermofoil island in Castlemore and a hard-used basement kitchen with thirty years of cooking on it each call for a different primer, a different weight of prep and occasionally a different answer entirely. Most of the skill in cabinet painting lies in telling them apart.
The Kitchens Here Work Harder Than Most, So The Specification Changes
This city has the biggest average household in Canada and the highest share of multigenerational homes anywhere in the country. A kitchen serving three generations from early morning to late evening is not the same problem as a kitchen that makes dinner for two, and cabinet painting specified for the second one fails in the first.
That shows up in three places on a cabinet painting job. Degreasing gets real time and a real product rather than a wipe. The topcoat leans toward 2K polyurethane, or an alkyd enamel at the hard end, instead of anything soft. And the schedule gets built around a house that stays full, with doors leaving on the first morning and box work kept to daytime hours. The services page lists every kind of work that applies, and the large and multi-generational home cabinet painting page goes into the two-kitchen jobs specifically.
Prep Decides Whether The Finish Lasts, So Prep Is Never Shortened
Cabinet painting fails in a handful of ways. Grease under the primer. Sanding that never happened. A primer wrong for the substrate. Coats laid on too thick. A kitchen used hard while the film was still curing. All of them are avoidable, and each one marks a corner that somebody cut.
So every door comes down tagged, drawer fronts too, grease is cut with a cleaner strong enough for the job, surfaces are sanded dull, and primer is matched to material, so shellac goes over oak and over cherry, bonding primer over melamine and over thermofoil, and cabinet primer over maple and MDF. Topcoats are sprayed thin, scuff sanded between passes. Why spraying beats brushing is explained on the cabinet spray painting page.
How We Work
One trade only
Cabinet painting is the only trade we work in, so we can talk about a specific oak kitchen in Heart Lake or a thermofoil galley downtown rather than about paint in general.
Prep is never shortened
Doors come down tagged, grease is cut with a proper cleaner, surfaces are sanded dull and primer is matched to the material. Topcoats are sprayed thin and scuff sanded between passes.
A quote that names everything
Ours counts doors, drawer fronts, end panels and boxes, names the primer and topcoat families, and states the sheen and coat count. Island, pantry, vanity and basement kitchen are each priced apart.
Honest advice, even when it costs work
We say when thermofoil has lifted too far, when walnut is better refinished and when a swollen sink base is beyond paint. We spray a sample door before anyone commits to a colour.
